A LETTER FROM PHAMALY'S COMPANY PRODUCTION MANAGER, DARION RAMOS

To the whole Phamaly community:

This comes with a heavy heart to share that I will be leaving Phamaly as a staff member. Over six years ago, I was welcomed into the Phamaly family during a time that I wasn’t sure if I could be successful due to my depression and anxiety. Every cast member, audience member, and interaction pertaining to the company gave me a purpose and unveiled my passion for people and the disability community. I was challenged, loved, accepted, and supported.

For the purpose of being fully transparent and to stay true to the over-sharer that I am… Over the past few years, I have received a new diagnosis and been experiencing higher anxiety and more intense panic attacks. I’m unable to adequately take care of myself while continuing my position at Phamaly. In order to help others, I have to be in a healthier head space. Now, that I’ve cried all over my laptop, I do still want to help where I can. I’m looking forward to a time that I will join the volunteer team, the audience, and maybe eventually as a cast member.

Phamaly is rooted in love, support, and community. I am so grateful for the friendships that I have formed, the home I found, and growth you have all helped me with.

Phamaly has my heart.

Thank you for an unforgettable six and a half years.

“Let your smile change the world, don’t let the world change your smile.”

-Darion

FROM THE PHAMALY STAFF:

Darion's last day will be next week, so please give her a big "thank you" for all her years with us. We will miss you, Darion!

With a new year comes new opportunities, and we're so happy for both our former Managing Director, Sasha, and Darion that they're moving on to new and exciting chapters in their lives. While it's never ideal when multiple staff members leave at once, it is a testament to Phamaly's stability, support, and community that they felt comfortable leaving the company in the staff's capable hands at this time. We truly weathered the storm of the past couple of years, and we look forward to honoring our past while simultaneously welcoming a bright new future with bright new faces.

We will post the Company Production Manager position when we are able to, so stay alert to our social channels if you'd like to apply.

Thanks, as always, for you unending support, Phamaly!
