Welcome Phamaly’s New Managing Director, Corinne Denny!

PHAMALY THEATRE COMPANY HIRES NEW MANAGING DIRECTOR

 

Denver, Colorado, April 21, 2023: Denver’s premier disability-affirmative theatre, Phamaly Theatre Company, is proud to announce the hiring of new Managing Director, Corinne Denny.

Corinne will become Phamaly Theatre Company’s newest administrative leader after the departure of Sasha Hutchings in February.

Corinne Denny is known for creating and managing innovative arts experiences. For the past several years, she served as the Executive Director for the Arapahoe Philharmonic, bringing a renewed focus on artistic excellence to the company and establishing exciting collaborations with local businesses and fellow arts organizations. Prior to the pandemic, Corinne was the Executive Artistic Director of Denver Immersive Opera, a company dedicated to supporting female identifying and LGBTQAI+ artists while creating immersive operatic productions that resonate with modern audiences. She has also served as the Production Manager for Boulder Opera Company, Company Manager for Boulder Music Institute, and spent five years working in wealth management. As a stage director, she has created productions for Denver Immersive Opera, Denver Opera Collective, Boulder Opera Company, and Opera on Tap.  Corinne holds a Performer’s Certificate in Voice from the University of Denver, a dual MM in Opera and Musical Theatre Performance from Arizona State University, and a BM in Voice Performance from Middle Tennessee State University.

“I am incredibly honored and excited to be the next Managing Director of Phamaly,” Corinne states. “Phamaly contributes so much to the disabled and arts community and truly moves the needle in the arts world through representation, accessibility, and amazing productions. I cannot wait to begin working with the fabulous Ben Raanan, the dedicated board and staff, and passionate, talented performers at Phamaly!”

Corinne will begin working at Phamaly as Managing Director on Monday, April 24, 2023. The staff is excited and eager to begin working with her to continue Phamaly’s rich legacy.
