Phamaly is proud to announce our first classes of 2024, in collaboration with the Denver Center for the Performing Arts (DCPA). All classes are free to attend and will be a combination of in-person and virtual.

Read & Reflect a Play - Spring Session

Two Sessions

Here's an opportunity to work on cold reading skills and have fun in discovering or rediscovering a play and its playwright! Join us for two evenings of reading and reflecting on a play or musical; this Spring, we will read The Spongebob Musical by Kyle Jarrow. We will read the play as a company! Roles will be shared throughout the two evenings, so that everyone will have an opportunity to actively participate. We will also reflect on the play and playwright, and consider more specifically the journey of the play. Join us in person for a relaxed and enjoyable evening!

Stage Combat

June 5th or 12th (2 sessions, choose one)
5:30-7:30pm
IN PERSON ONLY

Ages 16+

Hand to hand and/or other physical combat types will be introduced. Join us for this two session workshop to explore basic core components of person to person combat without weaponry. This class will explore safe and comprehensive approaches to many different forms of contact and combat, helping to provide a safe and common vocabulary to utilize in the journey of the work.

Phamaly Theatrical Makeup Artistry: Bumps & Bruises

1 session • 2.5 hr class time
Tue • June 11• 5:30 – 8pm • Rachel Taylor
16+ YEARS OLD
The basic principles and practice of applying stage makeup are a must for any actor, and this workshop is the perfect introduction to special effects artistry for any “trauma” make up. This class will cover bruises, scrapes and scars, and wounds. Learn step by step applications and use this skill for theatre or holiday hi jinx!
