Phamaly staff is available to any artists with disabilities who are looking for one on one coaching or advice on topics such as creating a resume, choosing audition material or building a website. Phamaly and DCPA Virtual Classes and Workshops

Phamaly classes and workshops with the Denver Center for the Performing Arts are back! 

Sign-ups for winter classes are open, but space is limited! These are free opportunities for adult and teen artists to gain theatrical experience and knowledge. All classes will be online via Zoom. American Sign Language (ASL) Interpretation available upon request. If you would like to sign-up, please click each class title below. We hope you can join us!

ADULT (18+)

Winter Warm UP

Stay warm this winter and join fellow performers for a fun-filled session of rehearsal exercises and activities to warm-up your body, voice and imagination. A good warmup will help you get into proper physical, mental, and emotional form to excel at your next audition and to work well with other actors and your ensemble. Come prepared to share one of your favorite warm-up games or exercises.

Theatrical Makeup

The basic principles and practice of applying stage makeup are a must for any actor. Formulate a makeup design based on facial anatomy and theatrical character in this fun, hands-on class. We will complete step-by-step application techniques for basic stage contouring, old age and injury effects.

Acting on Camera (Continued!)

Here’s an opportunity to build on some of the core fundamentals we approached in our first workshop, using short scenes as material. You’ll be assigned scenes prior to the first session, and will have an opportunity to work with a scene partner in class, building more confidence and comfortability in your approach to working On Camera. This is a great opportunity to further your awareness of this particular craft, and the distinctions between theatre and on camera work!

Teen Improv

Throw inhibitions aside, build confidence and explore the fun and spontaneous world of
improv. Using group activities, short-form games and improvised scene work, this class creates a supportive online environment for creative play and discovering how to make strong choices that further character and situation.

Teen Voice Over

Unlock your voice potential and explore the world of voice over! Step up to the mic and learn the basics of the radio and television voice over industry. Join this virtual class -  analyzing and activating commercial copy, learning to take direction and increasing your versatility.
