Theatre serves its communities in many ways; among them, entertainment, commentary, challenge, celebration, and inquiry. DocuTheatre (documentary theatre) incorporates a variety of dramatic storytelling forms to address and explore themes and events specific to a community while illuminating the universality within them. This is a live-stream master class of activities that will introduce you to the genre, motivate your own observation and storytelling abilities, and build your awareness of yet another way that theatre can speak to and transform us. This class requires attendance at all four sessions and participation in, and completion of, creating short theatre-based homework assignments.
